Reflection:
I think that it is important to show how you can use various digital tools and resources within a lesson and not overwhelm the students. Digital tools and resources are not just for the students but for the teacher to help with delivery and intervention. The lesson plan that I created for the 7430 class shows how you can use those tools to enhance student learning experiences. I also included in this the presentation what I did to explain how digital tools and resources within the delivery from the teacher and the student in order to complete the lesson. I created a lesson plan that involved students using, with me effectively managing digital tools and resources for the students to work on regarding the use of digital tools to enhance their learning experience.
This artifact demonstrates mastery because I used various digital tools or resources in this lesson plan. The purpose of using the digital tools was to create an authentic student learning experience that would require the students to not only learn with digital tools but you use digital tools to create a project or product for their assignment that showed mastery of the current curriculum standard.
I learned from completing this artifact that you really do have to complete your research on what would be the best use of digital tools. I also learned that you cannot rely on students just automatically knowing what to do. It is required that the teacher also knows how to use this equipment and digital tools and resources effectively. This might require meeting with the technology coach to make sure that you are modeling effectively the digital tool that the students will be using. I also learned that it requires a lot of research and it requires you to think about the students that you are going to be teaching and we will be working with these digital tools and resources.
You need to make sure that you're reaching all learners with your lesson plans. He want to make sure that you have made adjustments for all learners. I think I would probably use some other digital tools only because I have learned about some other presentation tools that may be easier for some students. Another suggestion is to assign students who could work with the other digital tools that same tool but for students who struggle with technology, find them another digital tools they can easily manipulate.
The artifact works to improve teacher development with using digital tools with delivery to students. I think when teachers practice more with using digital tools and resources, they begin to feel more comfortable with gradual release to students with using similar tools. I think the artifact can be assess through teacher review of the delivery and the type of projects created by the students.
