Birgitta Johnson
My name is Birgitta Johnson, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Summer 2015 and will graduate Fall 2016. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in English. I returned to Georgia State to get my certification to teach through the GTAPP program. Since I obviously couldn't get enough of Georgia State, I returned in 2010 to become a certified media specialist. I completed that program in 2012.
I currently teach 2nd grade at Adamsville Primary School in Atlanta Public Schools. I have been in love with technology since they brought the first Apple computer to my elementary school when I was in 4th grade in APS. I would get out of recess and go to the library to work with floppy disks and large computers with tiny screens. I still remember the first game, using the arrow keys to guide a bunny rabbit from the top to his home below without making him fall.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. There are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit, the most important one is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
